Charles and Eleanor Iversen DC Scottish Rite Scholarship
The Charles and Eleanor Iversen DC Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund in the School of International Service was established in 2015 by the DC Scottish Rite. The Fund recognizes the service and contributions of the DC Scottish Rite’s SGIG Emeritus, Charles S. Iversen. The purpose of the Fund is to support the Charles and Eleanor Iversen DC Scottish Rite Scholarship at the University, which is awarded to graduate students in the School of International Service.
Income from the Fund will be awarded in accord with the University’s financial aid policies to graduate students in the School of International Service (SIS). The Scholarship will be administered by SIS. Scholarship recipients will be chosen from a pool of qualified applicants at the discretion of the SIS Dean. Scholarship awarded by the Fund will be applied to the cost of attending the University.
It is the Donor’s preference that the term for the Scholarship remain flexible at the discretion of SIS, in support of student retention efforts. The Scholarship may be awarded either as a one time, non-renewable scholarship or offered as renewable from year to year, so long as the student is enrolled at the University and meets the University’s eligibility requirements for scholarship assistance. Scholarship recipients will be chosen at the discretion of the Dean of SIS as the income from the Fund permits and in accord with the University’s financial aid policies.
