James B. Simpson Fellowship

The James B. Simpson Fellowship was established in 2006 to provide financial assistance to a graduate student in journalism, preferably a student in print journalism, and/or a faculty member in the School of Communication to research and gather materials in the literature of contemporary quotations (for the years since 1950).

In the event that a faculty member is awarded the James B. Simpson Fellowship, the length of the fellowship shall be limited to three years. If a graduate student is award this same fellowship, then this student is permitted to continue to hold this fellowship after receiving his or her degree for a pre-determined period of time.
