The Menke-Abraham Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 to support the Menke-Abraham Scholarship for undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are the first generation in their family to attend college. Income from the fund will be awarded in accord with the University’s financial aid policies to deserving student(s) with demonstrated financial need who represent the first generation in their family to attain higher education and are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University. The Scholarship will be administered by the University’s Office of Financial Aid. If, in a particular year, there are no qualified applicants, the University shall reserve the funds for subsequent years when qualified applicants are identified. Scholarships awarded by the Fund will be applied to the cost of attending the University.
In accordance with University policy, the Scholarship will be renewed from year to year. Once a Scholarship has been awarded to a student, that student will continue to receive the Scholarship for each academic year so long as the student is enrolled at the University as a degree-seeking student, and meets the University’s eligibility requirements for scholarship assistance. New Scholarship recipients will be chosen as the eligibility of prior recipients expires and income from the Fund permits.
