American University Real Estate Alumni Chapter/Washington, DC Association of REALTORS* Foster Shannon Memorial Scholarship

The American University Real Estate Alumni Chapter/Washington, DC Association of REALTORS* Foster Shannon Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 to provide scholarship support to an undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking student(s) enrolled in a real estate course in the Kogod School of Business. The recipient is to be the most qualified applicant as determined by the cumulative grade point average, and in the case of equally-qualified candidates, preference is to be given to a resident of the District of Columbia. The recipient is to be selected by the American University Real Estate Alumni Chapter and the Real Estate Chairperson of the Kogod School of Business from a list of qualified candidates prepared by the University. The scholarship is for tuition only.

Should there not be students enrolled in real estate courses or a real estate program does not exist at the University, the scholarship should be awarded to a student enrolled in a finance course who most closely meets the above stipulations.
